In this unit, we explored that the term beginner students which has a wide range of meaning. It can be a student who has no English exposure, a student who studied English but has not retained the information, etc. When teaching children, more activities are advised. We also explored teaching English to adults. Students in an adult class can vary in age. No matter what age group is, avoid using native language in the classroom because it is important for the students to get as much expose to English as possible.Unit 3- Managing Classes, gave information on how to make instruction more effective. It explained in more detail the psychology that is used in teaching. I learned some very simple and effective tactics which could be used to keep the students engaged and maintain discipline. I learned some very interesting ways to prepare the room before the students arrival and I also learned of the changes which need to be applied depending on variable factors, For Example; class size, level of study and age of the students.
