I loved this section because this was something I didn't even realize that I did as an English speaker and that was constantly change the tense of the verb depending on whether or not it was a possibility, a likely outcome, or at what time i was relaying the information. A long side the detailed breakdown of usage and set up for the various conditionals as well as the transfer chart for going from direct to indirect speech really made me feel more confident in my ability to teach these concepts.The unit consists of two videos that represent the different styles of teaching. The first lesson (video-1) was not successful as the students (and probably the teacher himself) didn?t feel comfortable. The main idea of the teacher from the first video was to ?show how to do? but not to ?help people own the language?. Vice versa, in the second video the teacher is positive and open to ideas and communication, that makes the lesson more productive both for the teacher and the students.
