Conditionals are sentences containing ?if? which refer to past, present and future possibilities. There are five type of conditionals, zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditional. Reported speech and direct speech, when we turn direct questions into reported speech, the following changes also take place: the question word remains but the form of the verb changes into the positive form, the question mark being omitted in reported questions.This unit introduced teaching vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language functions. It advised how to select vocabulary, what should be taught about the vocabulary, and techniques for teaching the vocabulary. It did the same for teaching grammatical structures. I think the most helpful aspect of this unit was its suggestions for techniques to teach vocabulary and grammatical structures. I was confused about the concept of language functions, and thought that the idea could be covered more.
