There are many types of tests to evaluate students' knowledge and performance on the English language. It is often appropriate to give a placement test prior to the start of the course to enable teachers to place new students into the correct class according to their language ability. I have learned to use progress tests regularly to see what information students have retained. Tutorials and evaluation by the students are also helpful means to assess students' performance.This unit turned out to be very useful to me, as, being a teacher at the moment, I often deal with students (kindergarten childen in particular) who often lack motivation, being mostly made to study by their parents. As a matter of fact, they often break discipline and, in some cases, get very difficult to settle down. I have also realized how important the class arrangement is and how enormously it may help in fulfilling the targets a teacher sets when planning the lesso
