This unit delved into the importance of classroom management. The unit discussed how eye contact and gestures can enhance a teacher's teaching style. The unit also explained how grouping students into different sized groups can enhance certain classroom dynamics. Building a rapport with the students seems to be one of the essential steps to creating an effective learning environment. Effective classroom management is essential to maintaining discipline, which is necessary for effective teaching.This unit was interesting but predictable at the same time. It is common knowledge by this point in life as well as by this point in the course that the role of the teacher has a huge effect on the effectiveness of a lesson. Seeing it in action side by side was enlightening but as previously said it was predictable. Did not feel a lot of learning took place here. However, this is most probably due to having many years of studying and thus lesson experience that has shown me this concept already.
