The unit covers tenses an additional Grammar points. Areas highlighted are FORM, USAGES, TYPICAL STUDENT ERRORS and ACTIVATE STAGE TEACHING IDEAS. It looks at and details the four present tenses; present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. Each usage is shown in detail and teaching ideas are offered. I found the task sheet on this particular unit extremely beneficial as there were indeed areas that after reading back i had clearly misunderstood.This unit provided an overview of the present time frame and the different aspects of the present time frame. The material in this unit has provided me with the ability to recognize the various present tense aspects, and to present the grammar of these different aspects. More importantly, through this unit I have learned the typical uses of these different aspects. In particular, I have more clarity about when to use the present perfect versus to use the present perfect progressive.
