As a native speaker, I feel that these units pertaining to 'Parts of Speech' can be particularly trying on the teacher, more so maybe than the student. I now know it is one thing to learn to talk English from one`s mother but having to classify each word in its syntax and its relativity is a time-consuming commitment. However, of course, it is a necessary part of most teachers` curriculum. I have once again learned how to touch bases with my inner curiosity for without which, even though highly relevant, this would have been a pretty boring endeavor.In all my years (30 or so) since studying English grammar in High School I have never been introduced to Conditionals and Reported Speech. In other words, I always spoke the correct form, but without really knowing there were finer points to it. I have saved Unit #16 as well as the Video for future use in preparing to teach it to students. I feel that this topic is for upper intermediate level students. As the Unit reminds for both Conditionals and Reported Speech the potential is high for mistakes, errors and general difficulty in understanding.
