This unit focuses on the future tenses. It covers the forms, usages, teaching ideas and typical error/mistakes found when teaching the futures tenses. It teaches future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, 'going to' future, as well as, present simple and continuous with future applications. I learnt clear and concise rules to teach the students regarding each tense for example the affirmative form for simple future is subject + shall/will + verb, where as the affirmative form for future perfect is will + have + past participle.This final unit covered potential problems a teacher might encounter and proposed solutions to trouble-shoot them. One of the key things that has been a large part of this course involves establishing rapport. Students need to view teachers as people who are there to help them and they need to be made to feel comfortable and supported in their learning. This applies to all areas of trouble-shooting, as well as teaching. I found the section in this unit that talked about various warmers to use when encountering a class for the first time to be especially useful.
