Just as preparing a well thought out lesson plan is vital when teaching, ensuring that all equipment and teaching aids are prepared is equally important. Depending on what sorts of teaching tools or resources are available, it makes sense to vary the method of delivery in order create more interest and capture attention. From previous experience, I do not prefer overhead projectors. The set up and resulting images from overheads are limited and in this technological age, tends to be somewhat boring. However, that is not to say that low or no-tech teaching tools are not effective. Again, this unit confirmed my own belief and experience that mixing up the delivery method is important. No matter what method of delivery or the teaching tool used, proper preparation is critical. I really valued how the unit suggested to actually map out board work on paper in advance. This is something that I will definitely follow when planning my lessons.
