This unit was dedicated to lesson planning. The reasons for having a lesson plan (an aid to planning, a working document, and a record of what was taught and when (which can also be used should someone else need to cover the class). Actual lesson plans were prepared; one for the present perfect tense (ESA straight arrow) and one for making predictions, may/might (ESA patchwork). On the video portion of the lesson the Process for Study Activities was given, as well as, the Process for Correction.The unit consider about modal auxiliary verbs and passive voice in detail and gives a brief overview of phrasal verbs and relative clauses.
There are given basic rules of modal auxiliary verbs and also given a chart that shows uses of of modal verbs: can, could, may, might, should, would, must, have to etc in present, future and past. The course recommends some teaching ideas in teaching modal verbs.
Then, the unit gives an explanation about passive voice, relative clauses and phrasal verbs.
