This unit was extremely helpful because I have only experienced language learning from the student role. It really made me reflect on how I learned my second language and what my teachers were doing to get me motivated, expose me to the language, and give me opportunities to use it. The information in this unit is invaluable when it comes to the structure of planning a lesson, as well as the ideas and examples given for each stage of the ESA method. I already feel more confident about my future role as a teacher.Regarding this unit, I think the parts of speech are well explained, even if it is quite a simple set of explanations and rules. People who already speak English fluently tend to know grammar and use these rules very instinctively, and therefore, not much explanation is needed. This unit is important to systematize this knowledge, in my opinion effectively. The most difficult part to explain to students is in my opinion, the articles, especially their function. Nevertheless, there are some good examples provided.
