The content of this unit is about four present tenses; the present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. I have learned about the form and usage of all present tenses, typical student errors and teaching ideas. For example, an Activate stage teaching idea can be an activity in which students have to interview one another in order to complete present simple forms or to get students to use the present continuous and provide them with information in the form of graphs or charts so they can then describe a developing situation.This unit was an overview of parts of speech. Despite being an overview, some level of detail was given as well as some concepts and practices that might be stumbling blocks for students of English. Certain pieces of information were helpful to me. For example, the idea of a \"zero article.\" Though I use this concept when I speak and write, I would not have been able to explain it as clearly if I did not have a name for it. I would say that overall, this was a good brush up for me and an introduction to the difficulties faced by English language learners!
