Unit nine is on coursebooks and lesson materials. The choice of whether or not to use a course book, and if so, which one, can be quite a complex issue. The unit examines this issue, as well as looking at other sources of materials. The materials can be divided into 2 groups, Authentic materials and Created materials. It covers advantages and disadvantages on course books, best use of course books and 4 different options for course book use.This Unit covered a many areas relating to classroom management and provided useful information to try, particularly classroom and table arrangements. I gained good tips for TTT and STT which is vital to ensuring better student interaction. The section on discipline was very good and is very useful for dealing with students especially younger children in a bigger class. This unit covered a lot of issues but was well structured and presented.
