This lesson discusses various techniques of language teaching. It went over everything from lesson planning and correcting, to various guidelines for lessons in regards to learning. For example, how and when to focus on student's studying grammar points versus learning new ones. Additionally, this lesson discussed different theories on language learning, some of which are older and outdated, and some of which are newer and more often practiced.For reluctant students, putting them in a more comfortable environment will elicit more out of them - role play, small group or pair work, and allowing them time and space to practice. For reducing the amount of a native language being used instead of English in the class, teachers need to make sure their explanations are clear and simple, activities are at their level, and respond to students in English when they speak in their native language.
