This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Reading and learning such a wide range of methods and teaching techniques was particularly enriching. It gives options for lesson planning and allows the classroom to be filled with a variety of activities that are definitely helpful in keeping the students engaged. ESA is new to me, such as it is explained in the Unit, and while I've been using parts of it in what I learnt was a \"Patchwork\" fashion, I think it's a very clear and helpful structure for lesson planning.I have mixed feelings towards teaching pronunciation, one reason is ofcourse that I?m not a native speaker but in my own opinnion I can teach pronunciation quite well despite of that. The biggest issue is what I wrote after the previous unit, it?s much more important to talk and have communication in english with people, than to think ?Is this correctly pronunciated?. But anyway it was nice to get some theoretical knowledge about phonology and about teaching it.
