This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 15 covered different ways to evaluate students' level and progress of learning. There are many different kinds of tests to conduct for different purposes; a placement test is carried out to see what level of knowledge a student already got to guide the teacher on how to group the students. A progress test a effective tool to see what language that the students has remembered or forgotten and should include all the different skills; listening, reading, speaking and writing, plus already covered grammar and vocabulary. A diagnostic test is similar to a placement test, but has a different purpose; it's given in the start of a course to see what the students already know, to aid the teacher to plan lessons. Practice tests are given so that students can practice and prepare themselves for external examinations. The unit also listed examples of a placement test and examples of general external examinations as well as Cambridge assessment.
