A key feature of effective teaching is the selection of equipment and teaching aids which can be used to make the lesson more interesting, and attractive. These are things used in the classroom to aid teaching. They fall into different categories, following are some of them, the board, IWB(Interactive White Board), OHP(overhead projection), visual aid, worksheets/work cards, cassette recorder, CD player, videos/DVDs, video camera, dictionaries, course books, resource books, photocopier, computers, online resources. There are great advantages of using these aids while teaching. Resources help students to understand the object of the lesson the teacher is conveying. Additionally, it helps the teacher to test whether the students have improved their understanding of the given task. Without resources, the whole teaching process could be very boring, and there would be no information that backs up the topic that the teacher would be working on.
