This unit is a great introduction to the world of English tenses. I can imagine that native speakers are unaware of the rules and types of tenses there are; we just know how to use them from experience. This unit gives new English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher excellent examples by breaking each present tense down into affirmative, negative and question form. The formulas given will prove as useful aids when the teacher needs to explain how to use the different aspects of the present tense correctly.
Furthermore, this unit also gives a good sense of the amount of information and studying native speakers will have to do in order to teach English to their classes. It is a good example of my belief that just because you can speak English, does not mean you can teach it. Teachers need to be aware that they will need to dedicate extra time out of the classroom in order to be able to explain the complexities of the English language.
