I've learnt about conditionals and reported speech in this unit. I've learnt that the zero conditional isused to talk about things that are always true and is constructed using if/when + the present tense, present tense. (Eg. water turns to ice if you freeze it). The first conditional is used for real and possible situations. The second conditional (past simple+would/may/might) is used for unreal/hypothetical situations. The third conditional is used for regrets or excuses and is constructed using if+past perfect/ would + past participle. I've learnt that mixed conditionals deal with the present results of imaginary situations in the past. (Eg. if I had won the lottery, we could be on a cruise ship now), the mixed conditional is made up of if + past perfect + could/would/might + base form (a mix of second and third conditional). I've learnt about different teaching ideas for each conditional. I've also learnt about how to use reported speech
