I have learnt from the lesson some techniques to manage the class.
Having eye contact, gestures and the voice sometimes are very helpful during a lesson. As I remember, my teacher once looked me and I became silent or using eye contact he let us know that we all were involved in a activity, so I will use these also. Gestures are also important, as using a body language might be helpful while working with small children, because they see, absorb, and understand a new word, for instance, rather than they understand what I’ve just explained by my mouth. The variations of our voice and addressing a question somebody using his/her name are the third and the forth essential parts of a class control.
I’ve learned some benefits and drawbacks of different kinds of making groups, rules of arranging the classroom and giving instructions, ways to establishing rapport, as well as variations of maintaining discipline.
