This unit was integrated with other previous units. This unit gives knowledge on how to teach vocabulary and integrating it with the ESA teaching style. I learnt about how to select the vocabulary to teach and how to teach the vocabulary. I now know some of the factors that affect vocabulary teaching. I also learnt how to teach vocabulary using the ESA style. This was a short but important unit for me, because I learnt new and important things about teaching vocabulary.From my understanding of Unit 15, to consistently provide students with learning activities tapping into their strengths and weaknesses, we will need to use a wholesome approach to the use of various assessments. Understanding the purpose of each assessment is key. We will use placement assessments prior to beginning, diagnostic at the start and end of the course, and progress testing throughout year to evaluate students' progress and how we can improve our instruction.
