Every teacher should be aware of troubleshooting techniques. Different learning groups will bear different difficulties. Either you have very young learners or a very large school group or reluctant students who do not really want to join in the lesson the troubleshooting will be always different. Things that work in one group might not work in the other group. Therefore teachers have to be well prepared to deal with all differnt kinds of troubles and troublemakers.Unit 10 provided good practical examples of what a teacher should and should not do to ensure an effective lesson. Watching the videos one after the other clearly showed the teachers mistakes and contrasting successes. Things such as the teachers rapport with students, body language, use of visual aids, difficult jargon, lack of explanation, use and misuse of the ESA guide were highlighted and is a good way to educate new teachers about conducting an effective lesson.
