This to covered the receptive skills of reading and listening. An area of interest to me is the selection of authentic texts. I feel it would be very difficult to find texts that only include vocabulary and grammar that the students have already studied. For this reason, I think this is a better activity for students who are more advanced. That being said, I can imagine that it is very exciting for intermediate students to realize they can read an authentic text, so it would be nice to introduce this earlier if possible.This unit covered the topic of Future tenses. Specifically, it covered Future simple, Future continuous, Future perfect, Future perfect continuous, \"going to\" future, Present simple, and Present continuous. What I didn't expect to learn from this unit was that Present tenses can also be applied as future tenses. I found that part very interesting. As with other units, this one also offered imaginative examples of how to teach this tense in the classroom, such as making up horoscopes and pretending to be fortune tellers.
