In this unit I've learned what are the receptive skills ? meaning the skills that you receive, as opposed to productive skills in which you produce ? the two skills are reading and listening. Both skills are equally important, Reading is a bit easier as you can read multiple times as opposed to listening where you may hear things only once. We use both skills to acquire new knowledge or simply for entertainment, and both would be purposeful.writteAs I was studying this unit, I couldn't help but recall my spanish classes in high schooS and how my teacher was guilty of most of the things that I just learned not to do! No wonder I still can't speak Spanish! I can understand why if the teacher can speak to the students in their native language, it would seem like the easier route to take. However, if their goal is really to learn English, then classes must also be conducted in English.
