In Unit 16 we study the 5 conditionals in English: Zero, First, Second, Third and Mixed. The Zero conditional is used to link two clauses that are always true when the conditional clause is met. First, Second, Third and Mixed conditional are used to express diverse levels of \"probability\": that is, the chance of something real or imagined happening if the first clause is met.
In this unit we also studied how to report speech, and the changes that happen in a sentence in terms of verb tense, location, time and pronouns.This lesson gives two recorded examples of a classroom lesson. The first video provides an example of the wrong way to teach a lesson. The teacher seemed angry and combative with the students. He intimidated the students for the entire lesson. The students didn't learn anything at all. In the second lesson, the teacher was much more engaging. He entered with a big smile and his body language told us that he wanted to be there. The students responded to this change in demeanor and the lesson was much more effective.
