Two videos truly demonstrated how teacher's attitude can change the participation level of students in the class. Not to forget about the importance of teacher's voice and gesture. In the first video there was no Student talk time, teacher dominated the whole talk time. There was no peer work in the lesson plan. He did not explain the grammar context clearly and refused to answer to the students questions. He spend such a long time on the study phase by just spreading worksheets one after another. Another issue with his style of teaching was about correcting students errors. He would just immediately correct students before allowing self-correction or peer correction.
However in the second video the teacher used suitable approaches to teach the class. I think it would have been a better idea to ask one of the students to write on the board rather than teacher do all the write up. Other than that he could add one more activity in the active phase.
