In my own experience as a teacher I have mostly taught speaking and writing to students. This unit helped me to gain a broader spectrum of knowledge and expand my skills. Listening and reading are equally important parts of learning English, and I believe it is important to get a better idea of possible issues that both students and teachers might run into while teaching them. This can help solve potential problems in the classroom and ensure that students achieve their full potential.This unit began by discussing the numerous method types for teaching a lesson. It then talked about the basic framework for teaching a lesson that you should follow for each class. This is known as the 'ESA' model. Lengthy descriptions for each 'step' in the framework were then discussed, including examples of what they would look like for a specific lesson. The unit concluded by introducing the difference between errors and mistakes, as well as when and how corrections should be made.
