To be honest this unit was a little bit difficult for me, but when I read a few times I can understand the differences between past simple, past continuos, past perfect and past perfect continuos.
I had doubts but they are already resolved.
Finally, it is very interesting how we can teach these differents part tenses, but If we understand everything it will be good for our teaching. We can use different kinds of game or exercises for our pupils.This unit discussed the importance of introducing new vocabulary, grammar, and functions to students. It first talked about introducing new vocabulary, giving possible reasons that would make it easier/harder for students to learn, and then said the main things students need to know about that vocabulary. Grammatical structures were then discussed, followed by functions of languages. For each part, example 'ESA' teaching models were also given.
