i feel that this chapter the phonetic script and translating that was something that was very difficult to comprehend and to put it into practice. for me, i found it difficult to decipher what it meant as my translating was sometimes wrong and i would guess what the word is based on the sound. but this might be difficult for new learners of english who have a smaller vocabulary bank, thus i think this chapter would definitely require more time spent on over a few days to ensure proper understandingThis Unit covered methodologies. I learned about grammar translation, audio- lingualism, presentation, practice and production, task based learning, communicative language teaching and learning, and many other helpful concepts to incorporate into my teaching style. I had to review this lesson several times so that I made sure I understood the concept of each point for accuracy. Some of the questions on the test I struggled to answer. Overall I believe I should save this lesson for future reference.
