The management unit has been especially helpful regarding keeping student attention. Some important points I picked up included, not handing out worksheets before providing instruction, don't call on students in a predictable row, don't use a particular student's name before asking a question, and don't ask the students if they \"understand,\" but rather monitor for proof of understanding. I enjoyed learning more about consistency of language used for following instruction, using voice inflection, visual cues, gestures and providing demonstrations to help student success.This unit was about methods and ways of teaching productive skills. Which are writing and speaking. Both of them are equally important. In speaking there are two types of activities: fluency activities and accurancy activities. Also there are controlled, guided activities as well as creative communication. It is very important to get students interested in all the activities and to follow ESA technique.I was shown an example of an ESA lesson for creative speaking activity. Now i know what i should do during the activity and that i also have to provide a feedback after it.
