Productive skills are the reflection for teachers regarding how much students have understood the lesson. It's important to polish the correct use of language through accuracy activities, while enticing them to use it in creatives ways through well-rounded fluency activities. Regarding games, it's always resourceful to present the learning process as a joyful experience. Helps students relax and become more confident with their learning environment.The four skills of language are certainly all equally important. It seems like the current focus of education where I work, in Japan, focuses on reading far more than listening which creates an imbalance in the ability of the students. As I continue my teaching career this chapter reminds me to carefully choose topics based on what interest my students. Of course, if those are things that I am also passionate about, then lessons will be even better.
