The labels for these tenses are confusing. I wonder where they came up with them! I use these conventions correctly and it is good to know why we use them the way we do. Of course, a student of English would want to know \"why\" something is said a certain way. Unfortunately, English language learners must memorize certain things since there is no rhyme or reason for some spellings for irregular past participles, for example. I am glad I learned English as a native speaker! Why doesn't through rhyme with rough or although?This unit was effective is illustrating the importance of lesson planning for effective and structured teaching giving good activity and worksheet examples. I will be sure to utilise the examples within this unit for lessons to come. the examples given were clear and useful, illustrating that would be able to be modified to suit the english level of a given classroom. The example lesson plan was also clear and concise and will be of benefit for first time teachers as we build out confidence and abilities in the classroom.
