This unit taught me more about the ESA structure and how to go about teaching grammar and vocabulary. The importance of how to select vocabulary relevant to the topic being covered was particularly useful. The unit gave many example activities to do with the students for teaching grammar and vocabulary. While I would like to expand on them and try my own ideas for games and activities, it will be nice to have these lists to fall back on when I am planning classes.This unit explains the reason why people need to communicate. This was very informative in understanding how to plan a communicative activity. This unit also tells us how important it is to create a need and desire in the students to communicate. An another important factor to consider especially in developing writing skills is the knowledge of the students native language script and understand the difficulty they ,may face in writing the English alphabets due to it.
