This unit covered the concept of lesson planning. First, this unit explained the importance of lesson planning especially as a beginning teacher. Lesson Plans help aid your personal planning, and is a helpful reference as you teach the class. Second, this unit explained the principles of lesson plans. Three examples of lesson plan principles are to keep the lesson plan simple, to not try to script the lesson, and to keep the lesson adaptable to the classes needs. Third, this unit offered several helpful tips to keep the lesson organized. Some examples of these tips are, to check that the classroom equipment is working, to arrange seating, and to ensure that the board is clean before starting the class. Finally, I have learned that a lesson plan is more than just an outline of a lesson, it includes learning objectives for the student and the teacher. I have also learned that the key point to both a single lesson and a series of lessons is flexibility.
