This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
for me i agree that tests are important for both the learner and the teacher - having been a student, tests played a very big role in my student life and while it does help the teacher estimate how much information students have retained, how much they understand about topics and which areas needs improvement on, i feel that it is also important to not fully depend on these tests as sometimes these tests determine on how well students memorise their lesson materials, thus a student might do well not because he understands the lesson, but because he memorised the chapter well. One of the things I had learned in this unit is, the usages of the five conditionals. The first conditional is identified by the statement itself. If the statement has a very realistic starting point and outcome, an example would be, If I stand in the fire, I will most possibly be burned. Although it sounds obvious, the key identifier is the word \"if\" or also the word \"when\" I used along with the present simple and the modal verb like, might or may. The other conditionals will vary in use depending on what tense is utilized, past simple, past perfect, present and so on.
