In my opinion, this unit has been the most important so far as this is where we start to think as teachers. The fact that there are many ways in which to form a lesson, ways to correct mistakes and errors, and different type of activities designed to not only encourage, but to teach students in a way that makes it fun for them is enlightening. This allows us as teachers to make sure that every lesson is not only informative, but interactive in a way that allows student to participate in every stage.This unit covers the basic principles of lesson planning. It looks at why teachers plan their lessons, what to include in the planning process, as well as how to produce a lesson plan that is practical and easy to use in the classroom.
I have learnt when lesson planning to take into account the teacher student interaction. This unit has added a fresher perspective to my teaching career and bringing me to a greater understanding of effective lesson planning. This is one of my favorite units in all.
