In this unit, I learned the two receptive skills. They are both important in learning the language because they play a viral role in learning. I learned the different reasons of reading and uses. Apart from that I can distinguish what type of reading I am doing in every situation. Finally, I am confident to teach this to my class because it is very simple to make a lesson plan out of this skills. I found it easier to compose a plan based on this skills.Four present tenses (present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous) were covered in this unit. I have repeated their forms and usages, then I have been thinking about typical student mistakes and errors, why they have been made and how I would correct them. Finally I have learnt about some useful teaching ideas that encourage students to use present tenses in their communication during the Activate stage of a lesson.
