This unit was clear and necessary.
Was very good to lear more about my posture in class, how can I behave as a teacher, to make sure that the class will be smooth, that I will have the students attention. This lesson helped me to realize that sometimes, the student will be in the classroom a reflexion of who he/she is at home, or what they are struggling with inside or outside.
A good teacher needs to be capable of understand and give to the student a relax, dynamic and peaceful classroom so every student will be able to learn, to be themselves and enjoy a new language.Unit 12 teaches about the importance of productive skills in the classroom. The two productive skills are speaking and writing. The beginning of the Unit speaks to the importance of including writing in the lesson time itself, as opposed to relegating it to homework. The issue with assigning writing as homework, it says, is that because so many ELL students lack knowledge of writing, this homework will not be completed, and therefore the writing skills will not flourish. It is important to be sure that when instructing, a teacher is instructing all four of the skills.
