This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit taught me about the present tense in English. I didn't realize how complicated it was! I will need to keep reviewing the names of each present tense form to remember that names and rules. It is interesting how we take our own language for granted. Using short examples while teaching the tenses, as laid out here in this unit, will definitely assist me in my teaching.
I am hoping this lesson will help me understand Spanish a little more as well!Future verb tenses are confusing for native speakers, so it's doubly hard for those learning the language. While this unit didn't focus on how to teach the different future tenses or when to teach each tense, it gave a good summary of what each tense's purpose is. What I plan to do with this unit is to create some sort of planning chart for myself that will outline usage and teaching ideas, so that I can better plan when to teach each one --- hopefully.
