I am not a native English speaker, that's why I had to learn all of it at school. It was good to read about English grammar again though. I still make a lot of mistakes, because I have not learned English as native speaker does. Using English I still have many doubts. Something what is natural for a native speaker can cause problems for speakers from other countries. Like it is written in the introduction of the unit, native speakers were probably not taught grammar, but they use it perfectly in their natural, everyday speech.This lesson is a good reminder to not avoid teaching writing. I also think it will be good to evaluate each portion of the lesson and determine if it is an accuracy activity or a fluency activity. This will help to balance the lesson with both types of activities and to keep the purpose of each activity clear. I need to remember to give the students the necessary time they need to prepare or complete a task and not rush them in order to move on to the next activity. This will make the lesson more meaningful and student-led.
