This unit's topic is \"teaching aids and materials\". It starts with a list of the most commonly used materials and devices used in teaching classes throughout the world. For each one of them, a description follows along a pointers list on how to effectively use this particular item, when, why and what to be careful of. The second part is a huge list of resources, taken from CALL@Hull, along with their www links, that a teacher can use to extract material for the lesson. While some of the teaching aids are easily portable in nature, for example props and items, photos or flashcards, others are more complex and need to be setup in advance. Such devices are, for example, computers, overhead projectors or dvd players. Their main advantage is, expecially thanks to the use of the internet, endless possibilities to practice and endless source of material. They also tend to be extremelly interesting and captivating for the students, expecially the younger ones.
