I have learned that in every new teaching position I will have different groups and will have to deal with them in different ways. The class can be large or have different levels and my goal is that each syudnt will learn the language well. The phonetic alphabet is extremely helpful because it transcends linguistic barriers and allows students to sound out words better and can allow them to relate known word sounds in their native tongue to new sounds in english.
