I learnt that the Past tense describes a past event or a state of being. They Past tense is of four types namely; Past simple tense, Past continuous tense, Past perfect tense and Past perfect continuous tense. The simplest among them is the Past simple tense and the hardest among them is Past perfect continuous tense. I also learnt the Past perfect continuous tense is certainly not the most frequently used or taught in English language but can be of good use in some areas.I resonate with the issues brought up in this unit: there is a textbook available, and while it provides a good outline for topics and activities that would be useful for conveying the target vocabulary and grammar, its sequence is sometimes difficult to follow and I must adapt and supplement materials. In addition, I create and assemble authentic materials for viewing outside of the classroom. This unit allowed me to consider ways to improve and integrate these materials.
