The unit provides an overview of past tenses in English language. The usage of each past tenses is described thoroughly. In addition to that, common student's errors are identified. It seems that the most useful information in the unit boils down to the examples of some possible ways to teach these tenses and make a production for the lesson. The game \"detective\" actually is one of the most exciting exercises to encourage students speaking and practicing the new grammar.This unit was amusing and interesting because of the games listed such as 20 questions, hangman and jeopardy. I followed them up in the internet and found them most useful if adapted for teaching English. Some of these games - which were mentioned before are now very clear to me after Unit 12. I also appreciated the language challenges paused by language structure differences with mother languages such as writing directions, phonetic issues and different alphabet systems.
