This unit analyzes different types of tests, including placement tests, diagnostic tests, progress tests, practice tests, and external examinations. I learned a lot about different types of external exams and their differences. Cambridge Assessment was a new information for me, and I was astounded by the fact that there are numerous types of tests suitable for students coming from different backgrounds interested in different areas of study. Evaluation is important because it helps teachers to prepare future lessons according to the progress of students.I liked this section, as a current creative writing major in college I tend to like writing activities more than others. I think it allows students to be more creative in their work and gives them more of a freedom that speaking doesn't. From experience with learning different languages it can be daunting to try and think of something to say on the spot or capture what people are saying during a listening activity, but with writing I can 'say' whatever I want and still get my point across. When I teach I plan on incorporating a lot of writing activities.
