This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I have found this grammar unit probably the hardest of all. If modal verbs and passive voice were not too hard, the phrasal verbs and especially the separation into types brought more confusion to me than clarity. New piece of information was the third, relative, clause. Before I used to think there are only two: dependent and independent. I definitely enjoyed learning new grammar items, but types of passive voices unfortunately left me with more questions that answers. I will have to read extra literature on this matter for sure. Thank you for the unit! This unit was about showing how using correct gesture and techniques can affect the learning experience for the teacher and students.I learnt that the attitude that teachers come to class with and also the rapport between them is very important. Also that the language and terms used in each class must match the students' level of comprehension.Teachers should talk slowly and clearly and use mime and gestures to motivate students to participate.Giving correct information and making sure students understand the tasks assigned to them is also very important.
