This unit focused on the three main components that need to be covered when teaching a new language: vocabulary, grammatical structure, and the function of the language. There are certain attributes of each component that must be taught. Teaching vocabulary, for example, requires students to learn about the meaning, usage, grammar, interaction, spelling, and pronunciation of the language. Furthermore, this unit provided techniques that may be used in each ESA teaching stage.This unit was similar to the previous one, only it was about speaking and writing instead of listening and reading. It taught about the various important points in teaching speaking and writing to students. The biggest thing that I learned in this lesson is the problems with writing and how to help the students to correct them. Many students I have have, struggle with the layout and punctuation. This will help me to get the students on the right track for their writings.
