This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I've learned that the tense system is one of the most difficult areas of English for new students to master. There are three different tenses in the English language and four different aspects to consider; the simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous are the categories that make up the past, present, and future times. An example of the present simple would be \"I play\" or \"Do they play?\" The first sentence is an affirmative the second sentence is a question. An instance of a present continuous sentence would be \"They are cooking\" or \"You are not cooking\". The present perfect relates the past to the present moment. \"I have watched\" or \"They haven't watched\" are two present perfect sentences. Lastly, the perfect continuous implies that the activity is likely to continue in the future, the action was in progress for some length of time, or both. A perfect continuous representation would be \"I have been sightseeing in New York\".
