This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
From Unit 2 I've learnt that there are different parts of speech in the English language, such as nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, articles, prepositions, conjunctions, and gerund. All parts of speech are used to describe the function of words, not their meaning. Every sentence you write or say in English includes a few words that fall into the parts of speech. Moreover, an individual word can function as more than one part of speech when used in different circumstances. For example: the word 'slow' can be an adverb or an adjective. In the sentence 'The panda runs slow', slow is an adverb. In the sentence 'It's a slow panda', slow is an adjective. The knowing the different parts of speech extends the range of vocabulary, because you can choose other words from the same set of elements. Furthemore, the greater your understanding of the parts of speech, the more concisely and unambiguously you will use the language, whether in speaking or writing.
