Unit 16 focuses on the grammar for Conditional and reported speech. This unit presents the different forms of the conditional tense, each form is used according to what we want to express. The conditional and reported speech are using all the Past tenses, Present tenses and Future tenses. The teacher should make sure the students are confident with the different form of tenses. At first, the teacher should explain all the differences between the conditional forms, and in which case, they are used. While reporting a direct speech, the students should identify the tense that is used in the direct speech, then be able to change the verb when it is reported. Through role-play, games and dialogue the teacher should push the students to practice a lot to assimilate the grammar structure. A lot of creative games can be relevant and very helpful for the students. Once again, the balance of the skills must be complete, using Writing, speaking, listening and reading.
